All new pavers in the US Vision line are equipped with Vögele’s ErgoPlus 3 operating system. From an ergonomic point of view, this innovative operating concept is consistently tailored to the user, his ability to perceive, his field of vision and his gripping spaces.

It consists of three corresponding components, the main operator on the machine and the two external operating stations for the screed personnel. The programming of this highly developed operating system was carried out with the intention of making the visible user interfaces – through an intelligent and efficient background architecture – as clear as it is easy for the operator to understand.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=“15″][thb_image alignment=“center“ image=“1059″ img_size=“large“][thb_gap height=“15″][vc_column_text]Main control panel:

The main control station is structured by the arrangement of the keyboard in such a way that the keypad can be grasped as an overall picture after a short time due to its unusual principle of order and is thus very memorable. The consistent division into primary, secondary and peripheral areas supports this effectively. The panel is consistently placed in the grasping spaces of a two-handed operation, so that reaching around is avoided.

Horizontal function sequences are mapped analogously horizontally (left / right) due to the arrangement of the keypad, while vertically oriented functions (lift / lower) are mapped analogously vertically. Large round keys provide feedback with a clearly perceptible pressure point. The tactile feel of the raised touch ring is responsible for the tactile perceptibility of the user interface. On the one hand, the touch ring acts as a border to prevent unintentional operating errors, and on the other hand it allows precise finger guidance, even when wearing gloves. The individual membrane keys are consistently assigned symbols that show the direction of operation (touch and work).

The interface design of the new color display on the main control station now enables glare-free displays even in adverse lighting conditions with its high-contrast surface. The clearly laid out menu is clear and logically structured. The resulting increase in process reliability is also a result of the easy-to-understand, language-neutral symbols, which further simplify operation for the machine operator and thus make it safer.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=“15″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=“1/1″][thb_gap][thb_image alignment=“center“ image=“1058″ img_size=“large“][thb_gap height=“15″][vc_column_text]External service stands:

The external control stations on the screed have the same surface concept as the main control station, i.e. they are designed according to the same logic and look. Here, too, a color display shows the operating states without glare from any angle. Like the main control station, the outdoor control stations are also equipped with night design. New high-power LEDs backlight the pushbuttons at dusk or in the dark in such a way that display and operating elements are fully visible without any loss of quality. The „Smartwheel“ has been developed as a further new feature especially for the „dash 3″ generation of outdoor consoles. Particularly at high pave speeds, this adjusting wheel, which can be felt practically blindly, sensibly replaces the usual operation via pushbuttons or toggle levers and thus guarantees highly precise adjustment of the screed width in two speed levels.

The design of this setting wheel was specially developed for this handling, it clearly favors safe and stress-free working on the screed. Especially at the outdoor control stations, the operability even with working gloves had to be ensured. Its design makes the handy outdoor operator’s platform very robust and weatherproof. An all-round rubber bead additionally protects it against damage caused by impacts or falling down in tough everyday construction site conditions. The US outdoor operator stands are equipped with the Remote Control function, which allows additional screed settings for specific applications.

This direct man-machine interface with main and remote control stations is uniform across all machines, allowing operators to immediately find their way around all of the manufacturer’s asphalt pavers.[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=“15“][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Interface[/vc_column_text][thb_gap height=“15″][thb_gap height=“15″][thb_image alignment=“center“ img_size=“large“ image=“1864″][/vc_column][vc_column width=“1/3″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=“2/3″][thb_image alignment=“center“ image=“901″ img_size=“large“][thb_gap height=“10″][vc_column_text]Good Design Award 2014[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=“1/3″][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=“1/1″][thb_gap height=“50″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
